New 24’ Hampton Pontoon Suzuki DF90, Fuel-Injected 4-Stroke “Arkansas’ Farm Family of the Year Program is considered one of the top in the nation.” — Andy Guffey, coordinator of the Arkansas Farm Family staff member at the Arkansas Farm Bureau a few days prior to the Arkansas Farm Family of the Year Luncheon to advise the organiza-tion that they did not plan to bring their three young children to the event. Sarah said the lady told her that she should plan to bring the children. Sarah agreed and the potential of the whole family not being present was solved. “Once we were at the luncheon we met several of the other district winners and decid-ed that we didn’t have a chance,” Sarah said. “As a matter of fact, when we were named the winner our son was under the table playing with some toys. We were shocked.” As Arkansas’ Farm Family of the Year, the Oxners will compete in the 2011 Swisher Sweets/Sunbelt Expo Southeastern Farmer of the Year program. The competition takes place each October in Moultrie, Ga. “Arkansas’ Farm Family of the Year Pro-gram is considered one of the top in the na-tion,” said Andy Guffey, coordinator of the Arkansas Farm Family of the Year program. In 2008, the second year that Arkansas entered the Swisher Sweets/Sunbelt Expo Southeastern Farmer of the Year contest, the Arkansas’ Farm Family of the Year, Brian and Nan Kirksey of Amity, won the Southeastern Farmer of the Year award. Michael is looking forward to attending the event, which is like the “Super Bowl” of farm shows, while Sarah is a little nervous and “hopes that we serve Arkansas well.” “The Oxner family farming operation is a great model of today’s efforts in agriculture to be advocates for the land and future gen-erations,” Guffey said. “A successful farming operation is always based on hard work and dedication, but their operation includes a large amount of technology and innovation. They will be great ambassadors for Arkansas at the regional competition.” • FEBRUARY 2011 $ 19 , 999 LSK Price SeaArk 24’ ProCats In Stock!
